Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JEV) is spread by mosquitoes and is found across most of Australia, but especially in the Top End and in areas with waterways or near piggeries.
The Australian Government Department of Health needed an explainer video, myth busting fact sheets and other informational collateral to help spread the word about the severe dangers. There also needed to be explicit instructions and advice about how to best protect yourself and your loved ones.
Because the target market was primarily First Nations peoples, the content, look and feel needed to have a specific First Nations tone and sensitivity which was achieved through a thorough consultation process.
