Located in Blenheim, NZ, The Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre is a world-class museum that showcases WW1 and WW2 aircraft and artefacts. To drive more awareness and income, they decided to allow people to hire the incredible space for functions outside of normal museum hours.
The spaces and displays were engaging and diverse, but they had no unifying look and feel or flow through the museum. That made it hard to hold functions there. Through a consistent illustration style and photography treatment used in every display and its accompanying signage, the space took on a more cohesive feel and flow. A number of motion effects also helped highlight the museum as a fun, interactive and dynamic space to host a truly unique function.
The museum is now consistently booked for functions and events and the illustrations have won several awards.
